Photographer's Note
The Consolation Lake area in Banff National Park is an area where bears raise their young (bear pre-school?). To walk into the area from Moraine Lake you need to be in a group of at least 4. Despite the safety warnings no bears were about and I didn't see a single one in the wild during 4 weeks in the Rockies.
This scene show an artist intently drawing amongst the very rocky terminal moraine at the end of the lake.

Hello Ian,
Wonderful capture of such detail and colors. Amazingly well done! You should come south to Montana around Yellowstone park their are lots of grizzlies to see. Sorry you didn't find any in Canada.
Warm regards,
