Less common view of Peyto Lake, seen from Observation Peak (3174 m). The most prominent, snowy peak on center left is Mt. Baker (3172 m) and on the right in the background, 25 km away is Mt. Mummery (3328 m). The bright stripe on the right, below Mt. Mummery is Delta Glacier. Between Delta Glacier and Mt. Mummery, above the left and right end of the glacier, are Mistaya Mt. (3095 m) and Barbette Mt.(3072 m), respectively. To the left of Mt. Baker is the Peyto Glacier, as well as and the snow-covered Mts. Rhondda (3055 m) and Collie (3116 m). Directly above Peyto Lake is Caldron Peak (2911 m). Down in the Mistaya Valley can be seen the Icefields Parkway and the Bow Summit - Peyto Lake viewpoint, where most images of Peyto Lake are taken from.
A fall day with excellent weather in the Rocky Mountains.

Excellent landscape here, beautiful view on the lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Fabulous light and exposure. Great natural colours. Congrats!

I see it`s worthy to come back from time to time here, on trekearth if not for anything else, for such an awesome photo.
I really envy you for the opportunity:)
The same day I was on Nihahi Ridge, but you can`t really compare them.

very nice view, indeed!
The tour of the peaks with your help is invaluable and we thank you very much!
The exposure is excellent, having recorded a perfect depth of field in an equally impeccable light management! The intense color of the lake attracts the eye of visitors! The snow-capped mountains are another attraction.

Breathtaking and impressive scenery. Love that turquoise lake amidst this chocolatey mountains with cream on top! Delicious colors nevertheless! I find the image (the scene) a bit hazy though the quality is sharp and clear. Great post!
all the best
