Photographer's Note

We'd had our only wet day of the trip to the Rockies and had headed into Banff to have a look at Banff Park Museum (advertised everywhere as open but sorry - closed on Tuesdays as a money saving measure)and the Cave and Basin historic site (sorry, also closed). After some decent coffee and lunch we drove back to Field, where we were staying, via the scenic and quiet old highway. The rain stopped and we enjoyed great views of the mountain range beside the road as the clouds lifted.

Hi Ian,
very impressive view, well collected. The blue sky adds a very nice touch. You were lucky to have the clouds so much below the peaks, it creates an attractive effect. Great clarity and sharpness which is I guess the result of the air cleand after the rain.

I really like those mountains too!
The low clouds and the details of its rocky formation contrasting with all those trees in the lower part of this image are highlights!
