[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A lone Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus) on the partially frozen Chukchi Sea, Arctic Ocean. This marvelous animal is one the first specie to witness the environmental transformations the global warming is bringing. It needs the ice to hunt for seals, ice which vanishes as the temperature rises a little more summer after summer.

Un ours blanc solitaire (Ursus maritimus) sur une banquise partielle dans la Mer des Tchouktches, Océan Arctique. Cette espèce est une des première a rencontrer les changements environnementaux que le réchauffement climatique induit. Les ours blancs ont besoin de la banquise pour chasser les phoques, cette banquise est en train de disparaitre un peu plus été après été.

Une image trés convaincante où l'on voit bien que la glace se fait rare. Les tons sont trés bleutés sans doute pour la constitution de la glace. Par contre l'horizon est un peut trop haut à droite.

Trés belle image bien d'actualité,une rencontre qui sort de l'ordinnaire.
On dit que la banquise à plus fondu l'été dernier que durant les 5 dernières années....c'est vraiment tragique.
