I claude, self portraits are surely a challenge because they give you so little time to reactand so little room to even make a slight movement. I like the way you have done this though with the textures painting your shadows so beautifully

Cool! You keep heading our way. Will you travel south on the Alaska Marine Highway? Isn't that the most wonderful, huge sky? Reading other critiques convinces me that taking a good self-portrait is a difficult proposition. You certainly managed to get a good silhouette. Thanks, Judy

Toujours amusant ce type de photo avec les ombres. Je pense que je n aurais pas resisté moi aussi.
La grande etendue plane du parking a permis a l ombre de prendre toute son ampleur et les montagnes en arriere plan nous donne un contexte original.

Bonjour, Claude. La lumière sur l'avant-plan est étonnante. Les tons orangés contrastent bien avec le blanc de la neige au deuxième plan. Les sommets ressortent bien sur le ciel. La longueur de ton ombre nous laisse deviner que le soleil est encore bien bas.

Or is it possibly the rising sun at a low angle hehehe...
Interesting contrast between the warm light and the snowy mountains, I notice this is as late as May 22 so I suppose we are at an altitude here!

This is a very interesting picture playing with the first sun rays to make your own extra long shadow, it let us make an idea how low is the sun at the north lands.
If snow would be white, picture would be better, but it is just a point of view, you can see on workshop what I mean.
