This picture was taken along the McNeil river in Yukon Canada. Somewhere between McNeil Lake and Moss Lake.
We were rafting in 10 days from the start of the river in McNeil Lake in the St Cyr Range, which is located 30 miles north east of Ouiet Lake to the Nisutlin River and we were taken out at the Nisutlin River Campground on the South Canol Road. A real Northern wilderness river trip.

Hello Jan - This is such a super composition taken from a very good vantage point. I love the way the river snakes through the landscape. The trees provide interesting textures and contrast. I feel the shot could do with a touch more contrast and sharpening but think perhaps a lot of detail has been lost in the upload as your file size is just under 200kb and you can post up to 300kb. I hope you don't mind but I have done a very quick WS to try and bring out the details a little more. Have a fine weekend Rosemary

Hello Jan ,
A stunning landscape ! the framing without any sky is a good choice to create a superb graphical effect , with all these sinuous river between marshes and pine trees .

You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the river which winds the rich natural and rich green trees straightly spreading on the ground. And, the tree's reflection projected to the river draws out a good effect in this image. You did a good trip.

Yukon. Another place I would love to discover. Especially on a rafting trip as you apparently did it.
Your picture is exactly how I represented it in my mind. Trees, waters, greenery.
