The Great Plain of Koukdjouak lies on the east coast of Baffin Island in Nunavut, Canada.

Below the myriad clouds are glacial meltwater lakes with rivers flowing northwards to Hudson's Bay.

The Plain plays host to one of the greatest summer roosts of snow geese

Your interest in Northern places as reflected in your gallery is very appealing. I am sorry only that no one has commented on this one- it's a great photo of a place that is not really represented on TE. Even though I am in Canada, this seems like a whole other world. The perspective is fantastic. Well done!
