Photographer’s Note
Again taken from a Vancouver bound flight, this western exremity of Baffin Island in Canada'a arctic Nunavut has the beguilling Tolkianesque name of the Great Plain of Koukdjuak.
Nature in the raw, the photo shows the truly circular meltwater lake or 'Kettle Hole'.
Home to over 1.5m snow geese in the summer months Koukdjouak, and knowing I will probably never set foot on this mysterious tundra, its a privilege to see such rare parts of the earth.
Identification was greatly helped by Google Earth

Hi Chris
Good shot of a rarely seen and likely visited place. There are so many great places to see in this beautiful country. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
