The effect of the polar wind which carves snow... We are here at the edge of the Clyde Inlet on the Baffin Island. On the bank, snow was carved by the wind forming this aspect of landscape of mountains (in miniature, of course !).
Further, on the left of the shore one sees a cluster of plates of ice forming a "hummock"; the swell, the currents and the mixing of water at the time of the formation of the ice-barrier form by place these original peaks of ice.
PS: undoubtedly the last of the photos of Nunavut which I present on TE, thank you to all those which took time to comment on this series on the Arctic landscapes.
