| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
“Entombed” is the name of this photograph. It shows the amazing strength of this light straw resisting the weight of the ice. It appears to go against the laws of physics?
This photograph was taken on Burma Road which is located halfway up Signal Hill and it leads down to Pleasantville. I had to walk carefully down an embankment to capture this photograph. The small creek was almost completely frozen due to a wind chill of -22°C.
One of nice things about cool weather is the beautiful natural scenery one can capture.
This photograph was level adjusted, sharpened in lab color U.S. M. 120, 1, 0, and saved for the web. |

Les contrastes sont magnifiques, on voit bien les valeurs. L'angle apporté par le glaçon et les brins d'herbes est très intéressant. Bien vu.
Contrasts are splendid, one sees the values well. The perspective brought by the ice floe and the bits of grass is very interesting. Well considering.
