Photographer’s Note

Bien vu!

Hi Claude, Sorry my French must be like your Zulu - this is a very good picture of a fire. I find it hard to to take good fire pictures, this one is a real winter night log fire - it is even beter when outside in a Boma in the bush, and you know the meat wiil be sizling shortly on the coals!

Claude,I have tried many times to capture the unique colours of burning flames and glowing embers but I have never come close to the degree of success you have achieved in this composition.
This is a good weekend for appreciating the benefits of a warm fireplace:-)

Claude, I have never seen anything like this – it is very hot :- )). Sharp as a razor and amazing colours – absolutely second to none. I will ad this as a favourite. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot. I love the colors and the sharpness. Very, very clear. I had some fun with it in a workshop. See what you think.

As you write, at first sight it doesn't have much to do with the "mission" of TE. But you could say that this picture represents the warm feelings between the TE-members... :-)
Thanks for this beautiful picture. When I was still living with my parents, we had a fireplace at home. I always liked sitting in front of the fireplace, watching the colours. I've never tried to take pictures of it and now I see that I really missed an opportunity!
