Here is a scan of an old picture I took on a trip to Québec in juky 1999 to see my brother who was studying in Montréal at that time. So we left from Montréal and visited the north side of Saint-Laurent river to Tadoussac (and its whales !) then wen upstream Saguenay fjord to Saint-Jean lake. The little town of Saint-Félicien on this lake is famous for its zoo dedicated to wildlife conservation of the boreal climate. You can see about 80 north american species in the zoo, including elks, caribous, bufallos, musk oxes, wolves, grizzly bears, etc... But the "stars" of the zoo are a polar bear female and its two bear cubs (from what I found on the web the mother's name is Aisaqvak and the two bear cubs are Ganuk and Taïga, but since I've been there a long time ago, nearly 15 years, I am not sure the one you see on the picture is really Aisaqvak !). I remember I was very impressed by how this bear was a good swimmer, which is not obvious when you see how big this animal is (females can weight between 250 and 300 kg and the male between 400 and 600 kg !). Anyway, you appreciate to see this wonderful animal protected by a big wall of glass and not in nature !
