Dans la campagne québécoise, nombreuses sont les étroites petites routes de campagne praticables seulement en été. Souvent dépourvues d’électricité, ces routes sont des raccourcis qui relient un chemin de rang à un autre.

In Quebec countryside , many roads are narrow and only practicable in summer. Often deprived of electricity, these roads are shortcuts which connect a main road to another one.

Denis,
I like your composition here using the road to lead the eye through the shot. Your POV is great bringing the road out of the corner of the frame and letting it extend into the center. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness. The dark threatening sky provides nice contrast for the brightly lit foreground.

Morning Denis

looks like a wine vinyard. excellent choice of composition, with the road on the right leading the viewers eyes into the middle of the frame. the low cloud coverage is beautiful, it goes to show that we don't always need a clear blue sky.

A good low POV the emphasizes the road. The low cloud cover acts like a frame to keep the eye in the image and lead it to the farmhouse.

the cloudy sky here is a great bonus for the beautiful landscape. There is an excellent sense of perspective and depth with the land road and fence. High quality on its colors, lighting and sharpness. Very well done!

This So Eastern Canada, I've seen the same view many times in Nova Scotia. I've often said it's hard to take a bad picture there because it's so beautiful. Still I love the way you framed the white road leading to the farm under the threatening sky. Great detail especially in the grass, the fence posts and the dandelions.

Bonjour Denis,

La ligne diagonale de la route de gravier est un atout à la composition. Elle envoie mon regard vers la maison et les batîment ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. Les clôture cadrent bien la route. Ce ciel nuageux envoie une lumière qui met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Un beau paysage associant perspective et contraste. La route mene toujours a bonne destination ou l`on fait de belles découvertes. Le ciel apporte un effet tri-dimensionnel.

Hello Denis,

The countryside gravel road makes a fine lead-in to the scenery!
Fine late summer colours in the landscape but the dramatic clouds seem to promise some rain...
A balanced composition with strong lines and a great feeling of depth!

Amazing perspective, dramatic sky, that contrasts with the well lit FG. Our look is driven though the road to the distant houses and trees near the horizon. A great photo!

Hi Denis,
Your POV is excellent looking down this long narrow gravel road framed by the barbed wire fence.
The road creates great depth as it move towards this dramatic sky with its low clouds.
Rural Quebec looks much like rural N.Y. and Vermont.

Marvellous sky. I think the photo has a bit too contrast for my taste (I like a more 'natural' look), but still is really impressive!
