My contribution to the seagull theme.
This one was walking on a thin layer of ice on this small lake and approaching the last puddle of water not yet frozen. Wasn't so sure if he would go in or not. By the way, is this really a seagull, it doesn't have the usual orange beak and feet.

It sure looks like a seagull. There are so many different kinds I am not sure which kind is in this picture .
The ice must be pretty thin . The reflection of the Gull is wonderful. But to me a mere amateur , the white on the Gull seems to bright .
I really hope he or she doesn't fall through.Did you use a telescopic lens ? I am asking because I have the same type of camera . As usual , your work is superb . Congratulations !

This is charming! I find the composition interesting and effective. The reflection of the bird works so well here. I also like how you've exposed the ice on which it is standing.

The constrasting colors, textures and light are fantastic. I particularly like the transition from level ice to rippling ice. There are some hot spots on the gull, but to me they are not that distracting.

I like your photograph and the mirroring ice. Sometimes there are ice almost like this on the river 200 meters from my house. We sometimes throw bread to them and look when they are slippering on the ice trying to get it.
