Photographer’s Note

Following the photo of the steam train, I am posting one I took of the Engineer. I was standing quite a long way away and used my zoom lens to get this shot, which is a bit grainy. This man was the driver of Engine No.909 the Hull to Wakefield steam train that we rode on last week.

J'aime beaucoup cette photo. L'expression du visage de l'homme est un peu décalée : plutôt rêveuse ou énigmatique alors qu'on s'attend en pareil cas à un regard volontaire, dirigé dans le sens de la course de la machine.
Le mécanicien sentimental?…
A part ça, le grain de la photo n'est pas gênant pour moi. Il ne manque pas un rivet !
