Wakefield - Covered Bridge Photo

Photographer’s Note

The town of Wakefield was founded in 1830 and was one of the first villages to be established on the Gatineau river.

The original Wakefield covered bridge pictured in this photo was originally built in 1915 at the north end of Wakefield village. The structure burned down in 1984 and was rebuilt on the original pillars.

So often on this and other sites I have seen these bridges from the outside but it is good to see an inside structure shot.The DOF is good to get back to front sharpness and I like the way the bridge receeds into the distance.
