Photographer’s Note
A familiar but intriguing vessel. This one is not fishing with special gear. In fact she is actually surveying the river bed to ensure safe depth is maintained in the shipping channel.
Sweep boom equipped with Navitronics Multi-channel sounder interfaced with Mini-ranger.
Once data is compiled, if silting is important in an area creating a danger to navigation, dredging works are than ordered to correct the situation.
