Hi Michel, this is a quiet scene of this winter stream. Very good exposure here to give us a full range from the light snow to the dark water. Your colour has turned out very well. I like the portrait format you've gone with here giving us a full view of the river, both with and without the ice. The Spruce tree on the right makes a good natural frame.

Jolie vision d'un printemps qui tarde un peu à arriver. Pendant que j'admire la photo, j'écoute du piano sur Radio-Classique Montréal et je trouve que ça se marie très bien. Belle petite expérience audio-visuelle.

Bonjour Michel,

très belle photo prise le 10 mars, un moment où chez toi, comme je vois, il y a encore pas mal de neige. J'aime beaucoup ce ruisseau qui occupe tout l'avant-plan puis qui en rétrécissant peu à peu nous conduit jusqu'aaux maisons dans le fond: une très belle impression de profondeur.

Hi Michel,

Wow, I wish for at a brief part of the year snow covered the landscape where I live. I am sure that living with it long term could be an annoyance. The still, dark water is the perfect contrast to the purity of the white snow. As the waterway becomes narrower with depth it provides a good sense of distance into the heart of the image which is difficult to represent in many photos. The overhanging foliage over the water helps to break up the lower portion of the image, while being complimented by the house in the far background. The clear air has added a distinctive crispness to this scene which is impossible to produce in smoggy cities or warmer climates where the air is shimmers. Well done!

Un beau paysage d'hiver de cette rivière qui est partiellement recouverte de glace et de neige. Elle est bien cadrée par les arbres de chaque côté. La prise de vue dirige notre regard vers la montagne au loin. Bonne journée.

Michel bonjour.
J'aime beaucoup les reflets dans cette eau calme.
La neige est lumineuse mais pas surexposée
ce qui rend la photo très agréable.

Hi Michel,
Lovely vertical presentation of this lovely winter image. The narrow giver brilliantly captures the reflections of the trees ahd sky in its deep blue waters while the snow lined banks contrast wonderfully with all the vivid blue colors.

Bonjour Michel,

Joli paysage capté comme scène d'hiver. Pas trop d neige, un petit ruisseau qui coule tranquillement, des arbres à moitié endormis sous la neige avec un fond de ciel bleu, ça c'est ce que j'appelle vraiement une scène d'hiver.
