These are the two deserted farm houses near the Saint-Hubert airport where just about 2 km away from my house. I noticed these houses since I moved to the area. It has been about 22 years ago and those deserted houses are still standing there. There must be a reason that the City keeps them or may be nobody interesting in buying the farm......??? Today it was a nice sunny day for pictures, so I took this picture to share with TE members.
Thank for viewing.

I really appreciate you taking the time to look at a couple of my photos - thank you.
This photo of yours is so elegiac: you bring lovely perspective and great light management to the timelessness of these deserted buildings. They're like silent stories from the past.
All the best,

well spotted and lovely executed picture. The houses look abandoned but somehow not very sad yet. They still have kept the bright blue colors which add so much to this scene. I also like how they have been combined with the orange tones of the reeds and brown roofs.
Well planned framing and perfect sharpness.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Old houses and barns always make good subjects for photography and they change appearance with seasons. I hope you will return in summer time. One day, they will be destroyed or just fall apart, so it is why it's important to immortalized them on photos, which you did so well here.

this is superbly done! The framing is excellent with great management of the exposure. The beautiful colours of the cottages provide excellent contrast with the surroundings. The foreground inclusions with the lovely grass on the left provide great details and a nice frame for the picture.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Have a nice evening.

I guess there is no big rush for buying a deserted farm in Canada. Some other photographers who used to be active here were specializing in this kind of photos. What surprises me is that these buildings haven't collapsed from storms and snow in those 22 years. Strangely there is an undeniable beauty in the rough wood and the blue paint that still hasn't faded noticably. Sooner or later these houses will be gone so you made a good decision to preserve them while they were still standing.

Anna, the indigo hue of the farm houses and that corner with reeds gives an attractive side to the place, good winter season report, regards

The trees are helping to frame the scene. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the abandonned farm houses. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.

I like the orange heads of the grass stalks contrasting against the dark steely blue of the weathered wooden barns. The red iron roofs enhance the warm cold color effect. Good sharpness and well composed using the rule of thirds with a pleasant diffused light. Tfs!

A well spotted image that is very nicely composed. The abandoned houses take up a nice amount of room in the image, which helps the viewer fully appreciate their details and textures. You have a nice winter colour palette too, with cool colours that go quite nicely with the dark blue of the buildings.
Have a nice weekend,

It's really so sad that we waste so much resources, we'd rather move and build new houses instead rehabbing the old one even in the cities. They look like there's still life in those buildings and with snow it look very romantic. Good details and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

I like very much this scene and the way you approached and composed it. There's a quiet drama in this picture that feels deep. The mystery is enhanced by your note. The two abandoned houses look like shy characters that try to hide behind the bare trees. All the elements seen in this setting look discreet and utterly significant at the same time. Colours and atmosphere have been rendered in an artistic and effective way. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

these houses looks similar in shape those ones we have here in rural zones of my region. anyway the roofs are different.
I liked the contrast of colors and this good angle. despite this I would like to be there in that moment and to take an image of that golden bronze plant at left, with a good blue background. it would be another marvelous subject.
