Photographer's Note

Co-Cathedral of Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue. It is located on the corner of Rue Saint-Charles and Chemin Chambly in the ville of Longueuil, Quebec. The cathedral was constructed from 1884-1887, and was completed in 1911.

A funeral was held for Jean-Pierre Côté, the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, on July 17, 2002.

It was in this church, in 2005, that the faithful of the diocese paid tribute to Pope John Paul II, following his death. They also wished a happy pontificate to his successor, Pope Benedict XVI, during a special vigil attended by the bishop as well as a local congregation of Filipino Religious Sisters.

The churchwardens regularly organize fundraising campaigns to proceed with renovations to the cathedral as well as for the parish's rectory.

Back to the aspect of the photography, I took this picture at 19:00hrs and it was pretty dark with scattered shower occasionally, it was hazy light. The tree in front of the church acts as a big obstacle for taking a good picture. After 20 minutes of fighting with angles, I finally took this picture with prime lens 17-55mm F-stop 3.5-5.6. Never give up just need a little more patience.....tip for other photographers.

This is not a great photo but I assume that is the best angle with my limitation of my gear to my point of view
