Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec. It is located in the Saint Lawrence River valley, on the north bank, 250 km northeast of Montreal and about 850 km north of New York City.

Upper Town lies on the top of Cap-Diamant (Cape Diamond) promontory. A high stone wall surrounds this portion of the city. The Plains of Abraham are located near the edge of the promontory. Lower Town is located at shore level, below Cap-Diamant.

Hi Maria,
Thanks for sharing a beautiful picture of our capital city. I've visited Québec on a few occasions but I feel a bit guilty of not spending more time there.
I like you title. It is quite becoming because that is what we have been getting since April - SUN & RAIN.

une très belle lumière sur la ville et tu as bien su jouer avec le feuillage pour cacher le ciel trop blanc. Les couleurs sont Québec sont superbes.

I see that you have rooted to Brazil and that is why you maintained strong bond with Isabelle and others. In my years of stay in Canada, the same happened although I was not PR.

I also think you are lucky to live in Quebec city because this is such a wonderful place of the country. I like the streets running up and down the slopes and all the green roofs of institutional buildings. To be surrounded by history is a good thing while standing in the city's corner.

This is a lovely capture of street scenery and there goes a favorite green roof.

Olá do Carmo,

Que bonita vista. Gosto do gramado bem cuidado e da arquitetura lembrando uma cidade medieval, os carros quebram essa idéia nos trazendo para o presente. O céu com a chuva caindo ao fundo ficou lindo.

Isto é mais ou menos o que temos tido em Portugal nesta segunda metade de Maio.
Bonitas cores iluminadas pelo sol.
O ponto de vista foi bem escolhido, mostrando os vários níveis e a rua inclinada.

Foto linda em cores e composição. Também com uma nitidez notável.
O mais curioso nesta imagem é ver como aquele candeeiro, atrás do carro do primeiro plano, está inclinado.

Olá Carmo,
A compo é excelente, a rua e o caminho em direcção à torre fazem um lindo arranjo gráfico. Gosto também do efeito de "baliza" da grande árvore à esquerda e do muro à direita, que dão um pendor muito diagonal à compo. Só é pena aquele maldito carro em 1º plano.
Da luminosidade nem falo... Fantástica!

Quebec sem aquela neve é bem mais interessante e mais agradável. Confesso não ser muito amiga do frio, acho que não combina nem um pouco com o meu temperamento. As cores estão lindíssimas e o lugar me parece bastante agradável. Parabéns e um grande abraço

Olá Docarmo, gosto imenso de ver cenas ao sol com um céu de tempestade como se vê aqui. Oferece contrastes interessantes e uma atmosfera dramática que me atrai. Este enquadramento é excelente embora talvez preferisse não ter este carro aqui à frente - está demasiado evidenciado. Felizmente tem uma cor escura ;-) A foto está bonita. Até dá para ver a chuva no horizonte.

Ces conditions orageuses permettent quand la lumiere filtre d'obtenir des contrastes spectaculaires, ca se voit ici sur la maison rouge au bas de la rue.

I found this photo in your gallery. The composition is difficult, the scene if full of lots of various objects... and yet, it appears to me very well balanced; interesting perspective view which shows a moment of local life and surroundings just as they are... and I like the "angry" clouded sky :) Very nice game of light and shadows!
