Photographer's Note
Taken at 5h00 AM on Rivière Malbaie in the magnificent provincial park of Les Hautes Gorges in Quebec, Canada. We had reached our campground by canoe, some 8 km from the base camp, and left early in the morning after 2 days of camping in the wilderness because of the herds of moskitoes and black flies that were driving us crazy. It was worth it since it allowed us to take a lot of photos of the mountains and their reflexion in the river. Hope you like that one.

Merveilleux photo. Composition impeccable. Il manque un peu de contrast. Celui-ci sera aussi superbe en noir et blanc.
Wonderful picture. Perfect composition. All it needs is a little contrast correction. It will also be wonderful in B&W.

Nice shot! I have some suggestions; consider rotating it about 1 degree CCW - the horizon looks slightly off, maybe it isn't, but it looks like it. Crop the rotated edges, and possibly a bit off the bottom to make it more symmetrical. Next consider using contrast masking to bring out the shadow detail (new layer, desaturate, invert, Gaussian Blur 19. Choose Overlay as layer mode). As a result you'll probably need to knock down the saturation a little. Finally I'd sharpen it a bit... Give it a go, see what you think!

A very atmospheric shot. Many diagonal lines in your composition that come together on the left. Stunning reflection as well. Together with the mist... No doubt that it paid off to get up so early :)

Dear Nina,

very nicely captured reflection and perspective...can see the subtleness in the picture ...

Great shot Nina.
Superb 50/50 reflection mirror. I am a big fan of symmetrical reflection photography and this comes as close as you can get. I like the soft colours and light. I think the workshop does add a bit more depth but is sharpened too much.
Very well captured, I think a lower POV would maybe give an even closer mirror, but great as is.
Have a great day.
See what you think of my reflection posts.
