[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another shot from those I took at the photo exhibition opening in Chelsea two days ago. Jacek Sokolowski, who featured on my posting yesterday, is standing to the right, with another of his works in the background.

This shot was somewhat accidental, plus a tad blurry, but at home I found the man's surprised expression intriguing enough to share it with you.

He really looks surprised, even somewhat overly so. Like he was acting surprised...
Anyway I think the grain and toning fits well to this kind of shots. BTW, what is the artwork about?
Kari

You're allowed to smoke in a gallery? or you are not and this is why the man is surprised, like he just got caught and is going to be thrown out! well, regardless of being blurry, his forhead lines come out wonderfully.a good glimpse of the photo on the wall as well.
Narayan

You are simply the best at portraits. You manage to capture people with such sensitivity, it's scary. Simply amazing.

This is very nice double portrait. I like the bw toning and grain. Congrats

Hi Sarolta, excellent shot, wondeful and funny!
an excellent noisy blaqck and white, good light a perfect composition and POV.
thanks, ciao

Sarolta, your last shots from the exhibition are just fantastic, I myself am a big fan of shooting at exhibitions, but to date haven't had a chance of capturing the creator and his art in one image. Do you have a link to the exhibition (or photographers), would love to read more about it.
As for the photos, both of the portraits are very different but both spectacular, in two different ways they show the sould of the artist. I hope you have more images from there, looking forward to seeing them.
Peter

Nice expression captured here. There is not any problem with the blurr.

Hi Sarolta.
Très drôle cette prise avec ce visage surpris...c'est vraiment bien capturé.
Le cadrage est comme d'habitude très bon et ce n/b teinté et très contrssté me plait beaucoup.
Nice capture.

Wonderful expressive pic.The high key tone is also prefarable in this pic.
Only i bother adout its noise.

Hello Sarolta,
What a grimace you caught here!
I also enjoy the wince of this man (i guess he's from Poland, because he's got a typical polish surname) behind,
Nice picture,
Thanks for sharing,
Łukasz

It's fuzzy, he's cheeky ...but...he got to me!!! Nice moment - you got him - he got you - you got all of us!!!

keep doing what you're doing!!!

Hello Sarolta. Very expressive faces, but I'm not really fond about the out of focus issue in this one. I wish in any case that his eyes (don't care about the rest) were sharper. Noice toning treatment, as usual, and still a very interesting subject.

Sarolta,
Very different frmo your last post. I like this too very amusing and great wrinkles and expression on the makn character. Again nice to see the artist in the shot. I really like the frame as well almost half framing the two guys.

Beautiful study in men's expression. Love the surprise on his face and his bewilderment at your obstinate shutter

Could this be more than a decisive moment ?
Definitely surprised, no time to pose for a big smile. You caught him to his tru nature.
I like the multiple frames in this scene. Great sepia Sarolta.
Thanks, Al.

Hi Sarolta,

Right place, right time, right eye!
The fact that his face is not 100% sharp really shows that his surprised is real and that he didn't pause.

Really like it.

Thanks
Tony

PS: I'm also surprised that one can smoke in a art gallery!

Hi Sarolta

Nice B&W Taken. Great composition. Good timing. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sarolta,
This man has an extraordinary expression on his face. I'm just wondering who of the two was more surprised: him or you (when you saw the resulting photo) ?
Nice PP work with the B&W conversion and the added grain.
Have a nice day.
Brigitte

hi sarolta, and thank you for the decision to share this photo with us: i like this total surprise (or not a surprise but a deliberate pose?) nice graine and again sepia tone;
i like this picture;

The expression is killer. And dont worry about the blur..It TOTALLY woks great with the nose and the b/w. Simply put, a sharp shot would lose impact.

Hello Sarolta,
i like the idea of the frame on the frame on the frame ....
and the face of this suprised guy is amazing and fun !
very well done.

Tom

Hi Sarlota,
What a beautiful photo. You caught the moment perfectly. I LOVE the composition, with the painting balancing the artist.
Best,
Maya

I like this a little bit noisy sepia mood, composition and expression. A little bit distractive is a thing coming from the bottom of the photo (left centre part). Still it is a very good photo.
