[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An unusual photo vernissage, in the middle of the Gatineau Hills, of three Polish-Canadian photographers, yesterday afternoon. The ceiling was the vast sky, the walls the foundation of a house being built on the slopes. In this shot one of the three photographers, Jacek Sokolowski is reflected in one of his exhibited erotic photographs.
The reflection of the trees in the background of his photo is that of the surrounding hills... it was a unique and marvellous concept for a show.

Hi Sarolta,
excellent portrait of this artist, nice to see only his reflection.
I like the color tones...
A very original and artistic portrait, well done

Congratulations for your bravery posting this photo. I was whipped by some TE members for much less than this (but supported for many other). I love this photo, the composition, the light, the ghosty atmosphere. Kind of timeless mood. Take care.

wow, this is cool! this is an excellent artistic tribute to he artist and his works;
sarolta - you really have a "skilled" eye and loads of senses for street photography;
best wishes, jerzy

Hi Sarolta, WOW, this is really beautiful. I truly hope that you will be able to share this portrait with Jacek Sokolowski himself, he would be honoured with such a quality work! This is such a perfect fit, the creator and his creation fall in one like a puzzle full of respect created by the beholder. Truly stunning work, bravo! Sabine

fantastic image Sarlota, very clever composition, nice post-processing, and I wonder whether you blurred the bottom half of the picture in PS or it was like that. and I wonder whether this photographer would like that image or not, i am really curious. very nice work

Wow, I love this one. So beautiful, and so creative from you to have done this play of reflections between the author and his photograph. I wish I could see more. Would you have some others taken in this vernissage to share with us? This is sheer pleasure.

Sure, its nice,a sophisticated shot.
The grain is really agood choice of PP.

the gods of TE removed my first "critique." It was really just praise but one that deserves the green smile. I thought by original comment would be more powerful and meaningful than saying the same praise that has already been said. Sometimes just a single word means more than a lot of words (well, not just sometimes, most of the time). so I give you my original comment, in the unabridged form:

"magnificant"

A real masterpiece...
congrats

Very creative and inspiring composition, Sarolta. A real work of art, I'm sure Sokolowski would be very happy to have a copy of this. One of my favourites for sure.
Thanks for sharing.
Catherine

Fantastic! Sarolta!!! Let me return the compliment - a real masterpiece - such a wonderful creative image - some images kind of transcend becoming favourites - the reason - because they leave one pondering and thinking about the image - in an after-image state and it's difficult to be definitive about it - this is one of those images (not the first of yours) - that break new ground - particularly around the presentation of or relationship with artists and their work - what can I say - I'm a really great fan of your work!

So many interlocking elements here - the diagonal of trees, pubic and facial hair, the curves of body, head and branches echoing each other , the way the head and the figure in the image appear to support the floating body across the middle, the symbolic placing of the 'thought ' of the artist against reflected nature.

great image - Kev

smiles all the way into tomorrow!

It's tough trailing in after all those praises, early morning in Tokyo and BANG! this amazing (and talk abut DARING!) photo staring at me...
I think Kev with his usual sensitivity hit the nail on the head in that this is all about "poil" as we say in french, hairs, beards, pubic or public, foliage, trees, and dreams. This is so good we're going to ask Adam for a special super-duper smiley just for this one.
It takes one's breath away.
Bravo!
Francis

You have really an incredible eye for these styles of compo....perfect !
This framing, this sepia, this reflect with an excellent position in the frame, this face, this nude,....superb !!!
Bravo, in my favorites.

(I come back for the smile)

Hi Sarolta, what a beautiful reflection, very clever as well, you combine a
few things, the original photo, with the artist on the right spot in YOUR
photo. Original photo very attractive, but what I especially like, are your
colors. It all looks so balanced, so very well composed!

I like the composition, the reflection is here an excellent mean to merge the artist and his creation. Well seen, a masterpiece !

Thanks, Al.

Very unique point of view. You are brave to shoot this, and I like your style.
