[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A misty August morning at Crystal Falls Quebec. I wanted to capture the garden flowers at their peak and the colours change so much under different light. I thought this lent a special mood.

Beyond in your view is an old mill pond. Crystal Falls is a community that flourished and disappeared between St. Jovite and Arundel Quebec on Highway 327.
There was once a water powered grist and sawmill, a school, a dairy and a church. The church remains and is preserved. (www.laurentian.com/knox).

Highway 327, that follows the Rouge River, is one of the most pittoresque in the province with no commercial development. The old, largely english, community of Arundel remains a tranquil respite amid all the development in the Laurentians.

The drive between St. Jovite and Arundel is beautiful any time of year with interesting vistas.

Greetings Chris. Nice work. Beautiful mood, the soft shades of colour in the distance offer an effective backdrop for your bright foreground colours. The water in the middle adds to the mood of quiet contemplation.Cheers, Kladio

A misty forest has always been a favorite place for me to be, but it is incredibly difficult to capture the mood on film. You found the right combination of elements for a superb photo. Congrats!!!
