[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
London's Armoury dated back to 19. century. Somehow, sometimes, the hotel company (Sheraton?) managed to buy a piece of land with the armoury on it. The armoury was not a problem - demolish first, build next.
We have to understand that in '80 (1980) the cities did not care about their heritage as they care today. Nevertheless, the city stopped the process and forced the hotel company to compromise. The armoury was not demolished, instead, in the middle of it, the new hotel building was built.
The result is absolutely stunning. An elegant and very impressive hotel building standing out from an ancient armoury... Yeah, the cannons are not there...
