One of the exhibitions during Toronto's Nuit Blanche was organized by Deaf Centre, deaf artists, deaf organisers, deaf visitors. Place was absolutely buzzing, everyone had a blast, chatting, smiling, just being happy, and I couldn't hear a word, one of the most bizzare feelings I have experienced in a long time, it felt like I am in a soundproof bubble.
Just being there allowed me, at least to a certain degree, to see the different perspective, have learnt something about the world through photography.

An interesting experience Peter. I have had a similar one. Expressing that in a photo is tough. I think impossible. But your note makes the photo rise in poignancy. A classic example of note enhancing the import of a photo.

This one would be tought to portray if it weren't for the sign. But, with this sign it all comes together and looking at the two in conversation, it's a no brainer. Wonderful documentary work. lighting colors i love them. Green guy in the middle though.. HE could just take a walk out of the frame. Really though all together, this is good stuff. I hope you show more from this exhibition.

How was Nuit Blanche this year Peter? I didn't make it out because of family responsibilities (and that I had stayed up boozin with a friend the night before!).
This particular event sounds like it was interesting, I don't think it translates very well in this photo, but one can't always succeed.
btw, I just checked out your studio site. It looks quite diff from last time I checked it out. I've passed on your info to some filipino acquaintances, hopefully you hear from them. At the very least you now have a bunch of new admirers (I showed them you pbase work).

I like this quite a bit Peter. Focusing on the sign makes all the sense to me and I think you caught a pretty good moment, with them both signing. I also think that it is sharp enough for this type of photo. The only nit pick I would have is with the white balance. I don't really care if it is accurate, but it is just a little too orangy to my eyes. Nice shot Peter.

I think this is one of those shots where you either take it or you don't (judging by your slow shutter speed) but i think it would have been better to have one of the guys in focus (higher iso) although saying that i appreciate the motion in the hands.
