SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd
I was waiting for my brother to go check out the Manifesto Urban Music Festival at Nathan Philips Sq. when these guys (who were performers from earlier on the day) saw my camera and asked me to take pics.
Taken in front of Old City Hall, this is one of the only non-posed shots.
presented in partnership with THE CAUSE

Manifesto and Toronto Youth Cabinet's The Cause transform T.O.'s civic heart into an urban music and arts playground, with an artists market, workshops, bboying/bgirling, a massive collab graffiti wall, community canvas, an all day stage show featuring some of the city's finest new, emerging, and established talent.

Very nice and dynamic,
I like the angle the tilt and the action, the grain works well on the black and white photo to give it an urban edge. I was shortly in Toronto in May. TOo bad I was rushing as it would have been cool to shoot together;

Annoying drunk people asking for their photo to be taken is one of those annoying side effects from this hobby. A good urban scene here, looks as if he is jumping from a trampoline from his body action. The blurred background looks good.

Urban buildings, urban lifestyle, and I like the way this guy is enjoying it with gusto. All seems friendly and benign--not all urban shots have to be edgy! He looks like he's just welcoming everyone to join in all of it. Nice stuff. Regards, Ken.
