College Park, Toronto.
They came down the escalator talking--well to be precise, with her talking to him. What were they talking about? What is their relationship? Was whatever it was ever resolved? I don't have the answer to any of those questions, but it is something I wonder whenever I look at this photo.
I posted an alternative shot from the same area in a workshop.

Lot's of questions asked by this photo-mainly about the couples words.
It looks to me like a scene from 50's film noir...very stylish my friend.
Excellent work & looks well studied for a 'Random' camera guy.
Regards, David Cortez.

very well seen, I like the choice of B&W that shows well the play of lights & shadows. About the communication... is a secret :)

Beautiful, the shadows on the wall are really something, great capture.
I think u shouldn't put those captions in the frame, they spoil the whole impression a bit.

Both photos are good... The shadows on the wall give a graphic touch to them. perfect b&w.

A nice graphical picture, with the shadows making a nice pattern on the wall. Then the two human figures re very well sharp and under the light.

This is two very interesting photos in one, Alex. In the first shot, the body language tells me vividly that (a) the conversation surely involves the phrase, "I've told you a thousand times...", and (b) that count is probably accurate. The other shot is a nicely graphic one about the play of light and shadow. I like each of these shots, but my concern is that the second one distracts notably from the first one, and the first one is too interesting and too good to justify that. The shot does work well as it is, but two separate shots might be even better. Just trying to be honest here, I know you're not the sort to mind that. Regards, Ken.

Ah, another person I haven't seen or heard from in awhile.
Welcome back Alex! Excellent levels with nothing really over/underexposed here. The diagonal checkers add interest as the eye is lead to the people at the bottom of the escalator.
How'd you manage to write your advertising so high up the wall?

Classy shot, Alex! Real fuilm-like qualities to your B/W. Timing and subject placement could nopt be better.

Tough decision, but I think you made the right choice in this photograph, it tells more of a story and raises questions for the viewer about the scene. Very cool shadows also.

did you post this photo for Yom Kippour? the shadows do remind me of another symbol! pure chance or deliberate choice and hint for the occasion? In any case, i quite like the graphical result!

The shadows on the wall and the escalator acted like a leader that leads you to the couple. Nice shot!

Yo... my man Alex, I realize you're back...
I have been reading Ken'somment and agree a lot in here owes to body language, on my part I found guilt (the girl wishing to go backwards with her arm) and indifference (the guy who goes forward).
The graphical pattern is well found, Eric had a good point mentioning a Magen David for Kippour.
That is top class photography, old school decisive moment and geometric play, who doesn't like it?
I've seen your workshop, not half as good, two characters work twice better.

Excellent composition here Alex. A great combination of lots of lines and two subjects in just the right spot. Only one minor nitpick, and that there is something wrong with his face. I am not sure whether it is not quite sharp, or perhaps there is just too much of it blown out and it looks odd to me. Pretty minor on an overall very strong shot.
