I simply love the fall, colourfull, still pleasently warm but not scorching hot like the summer, full of smell, fresh fruits and vegetables (that's if you don't live in a canadian city). The only bad thing about it is that long and cold winter will follow (but that means hockey;-).

Interesting subject. I like how the one in the back is blurry...I guess it's time to move on towards colder weather.

Simplicity has its merits Peter.
I have the feeling that I am looking at two ballet dancers, going through their paces, all in subtelty.
The grayish colors creates a good mood that is in harmony with your note.Personnaly,I am looking forward winter, but first, lets enjoy fall.
Have a good evening

Well...I really like the simplicity, which is quite hard to manage. The shot reminds me of the stylized japanese art one might see at a corner stall...I do not mean that in the negative at all. The few contrasts here are handled very well. We see the vertical branch and the horizontal...we see the blurred and the sharp. We see the earthtones of brown and the nice soft blue/grey. It is very evocative of fall as it drifts into winter.

Very beautiful Peter! This has an intense Japanese style. It's minimal, has a gentle colored background, plays with bokeh boosting a 3D feeling and its main subjects are 'stealed' from mother Nature. It has really a deep spiritual charge. I love it very much.

simple et efficace, ce genre de clichÚ est assez rare cependant. Belle composition, et fond bleu bien utilisÚ.

NBice break from the dark images that you usually post on here, but there's still a sombre tone here, being the last warm day, and also the last breath of life of these leaves that will inevitably die...

Ciekawe zdjecie Piotrze,
proste - tylko dwa elementy i robi wspaniala kompozycje. swietna glebia, kolory. ciekawie, ze takie male zdjecie w duzej bialej ramce. fajna fota, graulacje,

I'll admit Peter, it was this shot that compelled me to run out and shoot some fall pictures before it all disappears. Not so much a postcard but as an artistic 'greeting card' shot. Especially like the blue/grey overall hue-- even the leaves have been sullied by the darkness. A hint of the impending winter to follow.
Nice difference to the usual cacky yellow filter that pop photo pictures of autumn use (which I like in its own way and am using right now!)

Very sensitive shot, another Peter's ?
the design is very well thought: the leave placement in the frame with subtile colors management. Lovely & fragile interaction between the fore & background ... Don't leave this photo next to an open window, otherwise the leave would go with the wind ...
Thanks, Alain -

What absolutely MAKES this shot (which might have been taken by Sasa)...is the delicate use of bokeh to throw the first branch into shar relief. Somehow the poetry of it all comes through loud and clear...

this is a beautiful shot Peter. love the colours on this too, has that just-before-winter feel...

Last warm day and last leaves on the tree branches...poetic composition, it looks like a painting, I especially like blurred and aesthetic one.

I have also taken (or attempted to take) such shots but never with such a tremendous result. This is really a work of art. I love all there is to it: its hues, tonal range, and firstly, the superb composition: one vertical, one horizontal branch, and their interaction with soft and clear focus... what a tremendous shot. I love this.

Nice light composition that really gives the feeling of the end of summer! I like the colours too.
