This old wreck has certainly gone to rack and ruin, but I still thought that it was quite photogenic even in it's decayed state.
Somewhere on the road between Niagara and Wawa.

Hello Wand neighbour of the day.
Very interesting point of view, just like a second life for this old car.

Hello my dear Wanda
What is an another great shot!
Bold and attractive framework / complete composition, very faithful color and sharpness in the detail/pan-focus are already as usual, but marvelous!
Title is also meaningful.
Congratulation on your masterpiece!
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Have a happy Sunday night!

L'effet grand angle apporte beaucoup à la beauté de la photo. Bon rendu de la rouille en opposition avec l'herbe. J'ai placé le cliché dans le thème "Abandoned cars"
Bon dimanche !

definitely photogenic, no doubt! I like the close-up POV you've chosen that brings emphasis on this old wreck and its rusty body. And talk about RGB colors ! There you have them !
baba_flies (8829) 2009-12-06 1:40
Hello Wanda! I agree, it would need some extra hours for a paint job and some night shifts above :))) but it has THIS charm I miss in Switzerland sometimes where everything is "over painted" and if not, it has to get out of the way. I like your POV here, very well chosen. Happy Sunday, Barbara.

You should be proud to be the second person only to promote Wawa on TE!
This car have the same colour as the sauce they put on their hot chickens... :-P)
But the way you present it is much more appealing than the crap we had for dinner in Wawa... Like if the cars weren't huge enough in those days, you've took advantage of your wide lens to stretch it even further and make it looks like a transatlantic boat!
I like the combination of these three primary colours mixed together, the long perspective you have created by choosing this angle and the low point-of-view.
That Canadian guy.

A fine and amusing composition making good use of the wide-angle lens, giving the rusty wreck an absurd look. Rust and green also make a perfect combination.

Rusty automobiles - never fails! And this is a real peach - the wide angle makes the bonnet look as though it goes on forever. Great colour combination and well chosen POV.
Excellent - Roberto

its been a while since your recents postings, glad to see you back.
i really like your 3D point of view here, taken low and close in.
we can see the rust so clearly, makes me wonder of its history, and how it became to what it is today. The inclusion of bright greens and blues add a contrasting punch, and some life to the otherwise dead car.
I hope you have a great time here in Canada with Andre, hope all goes well, and i look forward to seeing more canadian photos from you

I love this old design. You chose the perfect angle and lens.
BennyV (14151) 2009-12-06 6:44
What lovely rust! Great choice of pov/angle, with the back of the car hidden from view. It looks like a sad old monster of a car. Great shot.

I like how you have framed the car creating this great long perspective. Superb red/green tonal contrasts. The textures in the rust covered body are beautifully rendered. Very well observed and presented.

Dat is een mooie verroeste bak, eens het bezit van een trotse eigenaar.
Mooi ten dat groen.

There are interesting pictures to shoot with these ruined cars, and in addition to the perspective resulting from your close angle you have plenty of warm hues to heat a canadian winter night and keep CO2 low ;-)
Have a nice day JY

fantastic shot - love the sharp details in the f/g, that grass that rust! And the angle you chose is wonderful, makes the car look looooooong!
Thanks and take good care!

I love this POV, it really grab out attention and it feels very 3 demensional. I can just reach out and touch the rusty paint, okay maybe I won't. Great details and texture. Beautiful colors, rich and well saturated but very natural. Thanks.

What a great find and nice framing! Well done.

Cars, that is part of my job, no it is a key subject. That was the main reason why I selected this shot. The old rusty car should not be somewhere out there, it's an environmental hazard. However your picture is excellent, in particular the contrast of rusty red vs. blue and green. Well done
xavshot (69835) 2010-01-14 22:32
j'aime beaucoup ce cadrage et l'utilisation du grand angle. La composition est bien pensée et la rouille de cette auto donne une très belle touche de couleur.

Perfect POV for this great shot.Thr rust and the vegetation contrast very well and the image has a great depth.
gmg (4202) 2010-03-14 14:58
How beautiful this strong perspective and the contrast between the rust and the grass!
adidas5nb (5685) 2012-07-31 4:06
