I want to be......
How many of us can honestly say we never dreamt of being a rock star?

I definitely nourished that dream for a few years. I really like what you did with the motion here, allowing the person to the right to blur makes the boy look frozen in his dream, very creative use of that effect. I also like all the colors in this picture.

Good afternoon, Peter!
Simon described well th eimpact of the motion blur created by the person on the right.
This is a very colourful dream, dreamt by so many of us - but I think this guy will take a step further as he's picking an instrument to start with.
One thing that amazes me here is how the sign 'Millenium' (a reflection from across the road) is nicely fitted into purple display in the window!

Hi Peter, Nice, colourful capture. I like the boy in front of it, probably full of dreams indeed, and I think you waited for the perfect colour to pass this window! Really great combination with the colours inside. Nice shuttertime, with that blur on the girl, It's like the (I don't know the english word) the Viloin key is stuck to her back, as if she's got static electricity on her back. I like the reflected words in the window.

Peter, this is a superb composition from you. i hope this might be a classic of some sort. the colors and the motion blur makes it a really special shot to me.

Quite a few of my friends dreamt of being rock stars one day...when we were teenagers, of course. They used to go to these shops and stare at the guitars whenever they could.
Cool shot, this one, because of the angle and the stark colors. I also like the obvious contrast between the walking blurry figure and the still man looking at the shop window. The reflections are nice additions as well.
I like shots that evoke special feelings...this is one such shot. Well done Peter!

Yep, I had this phase too but I also had the chance to find twice, first at christmas a flaming stratocaster, then on one of my birthday a stylish pink (yes, pink!) Ibanez Jem 777 guitar wrapped in a giftpaper (for those who know Steve Vai's model). Still have the Strat, sold the Vai for a camera.
Nowadays, you and I are dreaming at becoming photo stars... perhaps later on, in fifty years, I'll dream about being a stamp collecting star :0(...
No,just kidding... I'm still that dreaming boy inside... just an older skin enveloppe around... youth stops when you can't project yourself in the future, hence don't have dreams anymore.
It's me you photographed there, Peter. Want a proof? it's taken from the back...

Bonne idée et belle composition ... avec les mains dans les poches ! Le flou de la passante est super.

this is very nice, i like those pastel colors, the momet is good too. two small problems - the picture is not very sharp, and the blurred person is blurred too much a bit - shorter time would help here. anyway, it is a nice scene, nice work

You are completely right, Peter, and the boy in the picture dreaming in front of guitars is an excellent "Portrait of an artist as a young man", and colors are lucky, but the image is made by the rightly blurred mysterious-pink (what a combination - mysterious-pink!) pretty young girl figure, which represents main point, or a final goal of boy’s dreams. Nice, nostalgic and merrily sad, quite unexpected dimensions from you, nice surprise.

Oh.. Peter, this is a fantastic shot!!
you captured so well the feelings in this composition, with the boy looking at the guitar.. maybe with his imagination flying away in some concert!!
Great colors and overall composition :-)

I never dreamed to be a rock star...but I'm still not what I dreamed to become anyway. Cool one, I particulary like the successive colours shapes here, red/blue/purple and...the pink blured lady. As Philip (gringofil) wrote, the obvious contrast with the static young dreamer is eyecatching.

He should do what every decent store owner does !
He should call the police, and they'd take care of elements like you, Peter.
You are a menace of society, you know that...Do you ?
You and your silly dreams !!!
The photo speaks (shall I say: Plays !!!).
All the best, buddy
