must've been REALLY cold, George, for you to start seeing elephants ;) good thing they're not pink, although I see that you have opted for B&W, so may be they WERE pink after all. love the texture on the snout, it's probably so wrinkled from all those frustrations. and I see what you mean by "no frame" :) keep flying, George.
best,
Kristine

Yes George I agree, your thinking is pretty hard to follow:))
But this is a beauty, at first I thought it was a real charging elephant, but at a second look I understood.
Great post processing, i Love the completely washed out background, makes the elephant seem even more powerful, almost like we are not able to focus on anything else (am i the one not making sense now?:)

Was thinking about marking your note as useful, but had second thoughts:))

Going bonkers, my friend George? This is still a great shot. I got to see this place.
As ever, Janos (jancsi)

Hi George,
the picture is OK.... and you ?
excellent photowork !
:) Bye Chris
what elephants, george!? PINK ELEPHANTS :)) the ones that usually sit on the edge of your dresser, swinging their legs around and 'pod-svistivaja' (russian) (sorry, the english word 'whistle' does not describe the situation accurately). hey, friend, the cramped mood of this pic is shouting out loudly ANGRY. am i right? what's up if you don't mind my asking? :))
warm regards
kristaps
ps. after reading your response i understand. that elly is about to stomp over all those roses in the garden :DDD hope the cabbage survives ;)

Wspanialy ten slon Jurku!!
Pozdrawiam.
Wystraszyl mnie ten Slon okrutnie. Czym ?

No. I don't think this is an autoportrait. And I am sure that nothing wrong is in your brain. The elephant is a very clever animal, as you are. This an intelligent pic, George. Compliments, A.P.

ROTFL!!!
My goodness, Toronto doesn't look like that, the last time I was there!!! I suspect you are developing a not so rare mental problem called jealousy... You are envying those photos coming from exotic places, Africa, India... You needed your own elephant, don't you?!
Well... let me try to come back to my natural seriousness (!). You told me, long time ago, about the difficulties to make an art with an art. I have to admit that this "monument" is impressive in the first place. But what you did with it is just fantastic. Your 20 mm on a film camera has done a spectacular effect, with the distortion so welcome here. But also, your low point of view (I presume? It can't be that monumental?), and mostly that hyper-white snow have done the rest. Simply excellent!
Keep on surprising me! That is giving me tons of ideas! :)

Hi George,
I like this superb portrait of this elephant. He's almost running over us :o))
Cheers
Marc
An ultimate form of frustration !!! Yes, yes, yes !!! (to ja dzisiaj).

This is more than a simple 'thing' as you announce in the note : this elephant is more than alife, he 'splits out the (laptop - or TV - or movie) screen' as we say in French, he is entering into our rooms, rushing even ! I think I heard him even trumpetting just before...
The pale and cold BG makes him even more present and it's fun to see such a huge beast inside a modern building - the baby seen through the legs of the mother is cute too !
More than impressive POV and framing - sensational !
Straight into my favorites, for the presentation, the fun and for the impact...
With admiration,
Cath.

Hey George,
I guess this is the "mother of all things”.
So this is what it feels like the moment before being crushed by a charging elephant! I love the way the smaller one behind is framed between the larger one’s legs.
Great PP work. The high-key background creates a very cold sensation and the distortion works well.
You might be right, but what’s option 2?

Bl...h...!
I just love it. Have a tenderness for these magnificent animals, so intelligent...good for you to meet them:o)), maybe they recognized you ?
In any case there is nothing wrong with your skills :-))), this is an impressive photograph, the way you have played with overexposure, the low POV, the details and textures, the closeness. The baby one behind...Classy and beautiful. I smile all over the face.
Thanks for that!
Stay cool:-)

Wow, that's a powerful image. I like the BW effects going on and the white space was a good idea. TW
