You were working in a tough environment here. The light is awfully tricky so I think you pulled off the exposure quite well here. I really like the square Holga-like framing and the yellow restuarant sign places even more emphasis on your character. I just wish he had a bit more light on his face, but under such conditions it is almost impossible (unless you used flash...but if you were shooting through the window you'd get nasty reflections anyway). All in all quite an effective journalistic image. Well done!

Lisan,
Your photos are becoming really interesting. I like this theme of two subjects, one static and the other dynamic but indifferent to each other, again in your photo. But here I wonder if the focus was not so crisp on the man and the signboard, but instead a shallower focus on the door-frame and the boy, the photo might have been interestingly different. And I wish you had moved marginally to your right to get more of the boy. Very good photo indeed.

This is really a difficult shot to take..i think you did very well technically Lisan.. i get a very voyeuristic feeling in this..and its beautiful shot.. composition wise its exceptional.. would love to see a bit more of the guy's face though maybe..
Still.. Strikingly beautiful!

interesting moment, reminds me some film, ( maybe Higlander ). I think though you should invest in better camera to give more technical quality to your ideas

I am here with Radek, where are good photos? you are talented, but somehow you cannot use your talent well. i don't care abut this one much. but i went through your portfolio today, and i found some quite nice oldies.. when i have time i'll give you some smileys probably. your photos have strange mood. style? anyway, i am waiting for sth very good. (harsh stuff removed, sorry again) oh, i don't like square photos, there is nothing like 3:2 format

Lisan, my 02 cents:
1. I really like the rich palette of twilight colors (alone worth the cost of entry)
2. I'm not ordinarily nuts about squares but it works here very well.
3. the thin triangle of action in the right hand corner with the kid PUSHING provides a DYNAMIC counterpoint to the STATIC beggar (sage?)
4. Got to say it: the cinematic content is high - like a Chinese Taxi Driver (ha ha)
So it's a winner for me, but what do I know, right?
