Photographer's Note

This glass pavilion is a new addition to the Toronto Botanical Garden, located in the historic Edwards Garden. It is a Silver Certified LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building, built in 2006 and named after a donor as “The George and Kathy Dembroski Centre for Horticulture”. I took this picture mainly to record the sloping green roof. I never saw a sloping green roof before, most of them flat on top of tall buildings. It must be very difficult to maintain a sloping one, but it is easier to photograph it, no need for a helicopter. There is another view of the building in the Workshop, it shows it from the front. Beneath the green roof the pavilion basks in an ethereal soft light.
