This is one the of new attraction of the Toronto waterfront, opened in 2009 at the foot of Simcoe street. It is a bridge a board walk and art work in one. A Rotterdam based firm, West 8, won an international compaction to design this and 3 other similar ones for the waterfront. There is an alternate, more complete, view of the WaveDeck in the Workshop.

A strange design, I won't how folk in wheelchairs fair here! Nice and unusual though and it introduces some great fluidity against the backdrop of the very impressive, but very linear towers behind, it's easy to see why this design was chosen,
In the workshop the narrow black tower in the centre of the frame really grabs my attention.
