During an afternoon of cycling through the countryside of eastern Ontario I noticed a large bird land in it's nest some 300 metres off the road I was on. As this nest was perched very high off the ground and I only had my G11 on hand I decided to pedal the two hour round trip to get my other camera and a 55-250 lens. It was only after I uploaded the photos onto my computer and cropped them that I was able to identify my subjects as Ospreys. I say subjects because if you look closely you will see the eyes of two chicks beneath the watchful parent. Ospreys were endangered not so long ago due to the use of DDT's but have made a healthy come back in recent years.

A wonderful & sharp image though you had taken from far and cropped it. I can also see the eyes of two little birds beneth the parent. I just thought it would be more interesting if you had done some post processing to make it better as I have posted in the Workshop. I hope you wourln't mind doing it and would like the result.
Have great days ahead.
