Achevé en 1922, l’édifice du parlement préserve un style néogothique. Il est l’oeuvre de John Pearson et de Jean Omer Marchand.
La Tour de la Paix a été construite entre 1919 et 1927 à la mémoire des 60 000 soldats canadiens qui ont perdu leur vie sur les champs de bataille en Europe, au cours de la Première Guerre mondiale. Elle est d’un hauteur de 92 mètres et on y retrouve un carillion de 53 cloches pesant entre 4,5 kg et 10 090 kg.

Completed in 1922, the building of the Parliament preserves a neogothic style. It is the work of John Pearson and Jean Omer Marchand.
The Peace Tower was built between 1919 and 1927 in the memory of the 60.000 Canadian soldiers who lost their life on the battle fields in Europe, during the First World War. It is 92 meters height and there is a carillion of 53 bells weighing between 4,5 kg and 10.090 kg.

This is a great photo of this grand building. The angle of the shot works great showing the building from an angle that provides depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. Too bad the cars were there but I guess you could not move them.

Wonderful photo, The colors are amazing and the clarity is wonderful. Very good sharpness in this photo, Really like the angle of the shot the blue sky and clouds really make Parliament building stand out. Excellent job Denis.

Bonsoir Denis,

La prise de vue permet de voir deux côtés du parlement canadien ce qui est un atout à la composition. Les couleurs sont rehaussées par la qualité de la lumière. La présence des personnes a un effet d'échelle de grandeur. L'image est claire et nette. Bonne soirée.

very pretty and informative postcard.
I have never seen Canadian Parliament building before. It surprises me because is seems like a very interesting piece of architecture and should be featured here or there more often.
Very well presented.
I would consider taking this shot from the middle of the street on the left of possible to catch the lamp not on the building but on the sky and try to introduce some symetry withe those two lamps, but may be it was impossible.
