Photographer’s Note
Another of my nearby park photos, this time a late afternoon shot. I felt my shadow was spreading kilometers away... anyhow, this was just a kind of play. I have uploaded the colour version in the Workshop, which I hardly post-processed and the colours were dazzling.

For me the colour version has this hands down - really beautiful - great composition.

I thought the shadow was of a tree at first. I love the composition. The angle is creative and makes you guess at first. I prefer the sepia version because the colors, although nice distract from the composition and look unnatural, plus the warm tones work well for the late afternoon light.

This is terrific. Great eye for catching this and I am always a sucker for strong diagonals. The toning looks good to me as well, much better than the color version IMO. Really nice shot.

Hello Sarlota,
Excellente composition, dans le même registre que celle de Rafal postée l’autre jour !
J’aime ici ce tilt incroyable, ces jeux d’ombres et de lumière !
Super passage en sépia !
Beau travail
Merci pour le partage
Amicalement

Fascinating dilemna ere, Sarolta.
On the one hand the color version is fantastic, the blue streaks in it are extraordinary.
On the other hand the shadow itself is much stronger in the sepia version, it's a lot spookier and more "focused" in that sense.
With that title, I would tip my hat to the sepia choice, definitely, but I'm sure we are glad you included the other one...
Good night!

hi sarolta,
just returned from a day trip to the far east of the country, two cf cards full of new shots;
indeed with the tw version we again spoke same language over the seas, today :-))
now, about the two versions - as a general image, the colour version is cool, but as you are in a sepia mood you composed for sepia - meaning that the shadows and midtones are important here, not the colours;
very much aliko to what eco (rafal) posted lately;
marvellous stuff;
best, j.

nice shot sarolta! There seems to be quite a few shots of long shadows those days on TE.. is it due to the arrival of fall?? haha! nice fall tones and shot!

really can't decide on this one, however it has grabbed my attention for several minutes so it must have something. i like your artistic bravery when shooting, you must have strong ideas on what you see..
