The University of Ottawa is one of two universities in Ottawa (the other being Carleton University). The university is located right next to downtown, and as a result, the campus area is quite compact. With well over 30000 students attending uOttawa, the university has decided to build up in recent years to get around the small campus space. The curved Desmarais building in the distance opened only five years ago. The building in the foreground is Tabaret Hall, the main portion of which was built in 1905. The university's logo is inspired by Tabaret Hall's facade.

A splendid picture with this nice old building in foreground and the modern big building in background.
We can see clear the different architecture between the two buildings.

I love the combination of old and new, a common scene in our modern urbanscape nowadays and this look harmonious. The lush folige is wonderful adding so much life and sprit to this shot, subtle light, great sky, colors and good exposure. Thi is a fine record shot although I miss human interaction there. Great effort my friend. Congrast

This university campus is so green...I like the green ivy covering the grey building.
