Photographer’s Note
Another shot of Parliament Hill from across the Ottawa River taken on my recent trip to the Canadian Capital.
This one is taken from a similar location to my last submission, but this time using a portrait perspective concentrating on the parliament buildings and the colours of the leaves along the river bank.
I closed the aperture right down to increase the exposure time to try and create a blurry effect on the water, whilst still maintaining a hint of the reflection of the buildings.
Let me know what you think!
Cheers
Simon

Hi Simon,
A really fine composition with the colourful autumn leaves (?) The lighting conditions were obviously not perfect, but you have really made the best of the situation and taken a really good photo. TFS and have a nice Sunday!
Cheers,

Hi Simon,
Although the light isn't as nice in this one I think the overall composition is stronger. I'm never 100% sure if you are using HDR but the saturation in the reds and blue/green of this one look like maybe you did. I'm not sure if HDR is always the best choice for reasonably well-lit scenes. If you did use HDR here I'd like to see one of the more contrasty original versions.
Something people can't appreciate here is exactly how flippin' cold it was while you were here!
Cheers!

Well done Simon, just a little overexposed in the sky, but well exposure time chosen anyway. The great texture in the frozen river makes this picture special. I really like it.
Best regards.
