Photographer’s Note
As I was walking along the edge of the Ottawa River on my recent trip to the Canadian Capital, I passed this guy snowboarding down this stair rail with his friend (not in shot) filming from the bottom on a video camera.
Intrigued, and probably half hoping he'd mess it up, I stopped to try and capture it in stills and managed a sequence of about six shots showing him at various points from sliding down the hill before it, to the rail itself to landing in a big heap at the end!
Whilst not a usual TE posting, the winter setting provided sucha stark difference to the skateboarders you see in the UK that I thought it was quite interesting.
As it's quite a dynamic subject, I thought I'd make it into a triptych. It's probably best viewed in the larger format and I've only added the title on this one to make it meet the size requirements on standard posts.
I'll return to some more normal landscape shots of Ottawa tomorrow, but I'm interested in what you all think of this one.
Cheers
Simon
