Photographer's Note

Sundarland is a small community about 100 km Northeast of Toronto. It has a few nice historic buildings, including this town hall, built in 1906-07. Formerly it served as municipal office and a place for various community events in the auditorium on the second floor. The hall now only supports community activities since the municipal offices were vacated in 1996. The statue in front of it is a war memorial. The Sunderland Town Hall has been designated as being of architectural and historical interest under the Ontario Heritage Act.
