“The Successful Spike” is the name of this photo taken yesterday evening, November 1st, at Memorial University’s Field House.
The Memorial Seahawks in white are playing the Saint Mary’s Huskies. It was a very close match with Saint Mary’s winning three games to two.
It was pleasant to see a large crowd at this match.
With a Canon monopod and using an aperture of 2.8 on my Canon 70-200 2.8, I captured a couple of hundred photos using ISO’s of 1600 and 3200.
The 3200 ISO worked perfectly, in my humble opinion, producing little noise. This photo has no noise reduction. It was slightly cropped and saved for the web.
The Canon 40 works extremely well with high ISO.
