[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“Two small bergs” is the name of this photo taken to today at the entrance to Quidi Vidi Harbor. A few days ago this large iceberg rolled over and broke into 2 smaller pieces. These two people are walking along the tiny entrance to the harbor which is on their immediate left. The fishing boats cannot leave the harbor until the ice bergs move.
There are many icebergs around the Avalon Peninsula and as a result the temperature is quite cool, for example, today it was 2°C Celsius, the price you paid for lots of icebergs.

Hello Jim,
These bergs don't look small to me, but I guess it's all relative!! :-) I like this unusual view of icebergs in the harbor, and the two people standing on the edge of the water. Quid Vidi looks like an interesting place from the photos you have posted of it.

Hello Jim,
An interesting picture in the true TE spirit of teaching us of the world through photography. The two people give us the dimensions of the icebergs. It's also a very well composed picture with two persons, two icebergs and two patches of brown in the foreground and the background. Also the water flows diagonally through the picture.
Nice shot.
Gert

Amazing view, and very unusual, at least for me !
Not very common to see icebergs in the harbour, floating like boats, here in Italy ! The two human figures are perfect to define the size and the depth to the picture. Both interesting and very well composed.
Stefano
