Photographer’s Note
“Mortier Stage” is the name of this photo taken on a recent trip to scenic and historic Mortier. This shot was taken early in the morning with absolutely no wind and the harbor was a great reflector.
Fox Cove-Mortier is a town east of Marystown, Newfoundland and Labrador on the Burin Peninsula. It was traditionally supported by the fishing industry, and has a long and storied history in the fish trade between Newfoundland and the Caribbean.
A Canon circular polarizer was used to bring out more vivid colors.
