Photographer’s Note

“4 Boats” Is the name of this photo of St. John’s harbor from South Side Road. There are many unique buildings such as the Murray Premises Hotel on the lower right. It was originally a group of connected warehouses used to import salt fish and was built in 1846.

On the far right, Bowring’s store which has been converted to private offices. I fondly remember, as a child, having some delicious deserts at their restaurant. My favorite was strawberry shortcake.
As you can see, there is colorful jellybean Row Houses, new condos, and some interesting narrow streets included.
