...when things can be so simple?
Sometimes, there is no point making up a sophisticated name and here, the sign and scenery match perfectly.
I don't remember the name of that "almost island" but I think the small community (far outside the frame on the left) is English Harbour.
I was gone for a short hike that day, to a have a different view of Trinity Bay, when I found this sign, right in the middle of a long long shore.
Not a lot of people must come up there to enjoy that wonderful 'beach' but there is a sign, just in case I suppose.
It was very bright so my camera underexposed the scene. I used the contrast masking technic and it made the picture a bit less dull. I then applied an slight unsharp mask. I was hoping it would bring back some details in the lys in the foreground but it didn't really work. They don't really stand up against any background.
The last thing I did was to select the bottom part of the picture (under the middle rock) and reduced the luminosity. It was too distracting. Oh and I cropped a bit of sky and rocks to make a good balance between all the elements.

Nice one! the sign really does say it all and the view is beautiful. A harder focus would have worked better here...
