“Moving Sands” is the name of this photograph and it is the third picture of Topsail Beach. Using a macro mode, I tried to capture the moving grains of sand.
A slow shutter speed was used in combination with a neutral density filter to try and capture the moving sand. It reminds me of a poem.
I sat on the beach and a beautiful wave
Came tumbling right up to me.
It threw some pink shells on the sand at my feet,
Then hurried straight back out to sea.
It ran away swiftly and leaped up in foam;
It bumped other waves in its glee.
I think it was hurrying to gather more shells,
To bring as a present for me.

This is fabulous! I can almost feel the sand washing out from under my feet :) I like how you have one small patch of sand that is just still. it anchors the photo.
