Photographer's Note

“A lobster fisherman” is the name of this photograph. This photograph was taken around 2:00 in the afternoon and this fisherman is heading home after a long day’s work and looks like he has a pot to repair. He reminds me of the book “The old man and a sea” which is one of my favorite stories.
This photograph is taken from topsail and the land in the background his Belle Island which is a twenty minute Ferry ride from the mainland.
Years ago we used to buy lobster for a $1.50 a pound and we had some wonderful meals. Around here lobster is now around six or $7.00 a pound which is very expensive.
Getting back to the photograph, this man probably started his day at 3:00 in the morning so he must go to bed early.
This photograph was cropped, level adjusted, and is saved for the web.
